If the brief was to be ‘eye-catching’ then the designer nailed it.  This bright red tailer from Butterkist definitely brightens up a dull UK motorway. (we just wish popcorn was really that big!)

An environmental company with an environmental image, this design from the recycling firm J&G Environmental looks fantastic.

A colourful design with a dog holding a paintbrush, Dulux was on to a winner with this design. The head-turning effect puts this design at number 6 on our list.

Pure Scotland, pure design.  This Highland Spring curtainsider design is very clever with a clear message.  The fact its part of Hayton Coulthard’s fleet, one of Scotland’s oldest haulage firm is also very fitting.

This lorry is Bananas! Effective, simple and bold, we just love this Sainsburys deign.

 

Number 3

BMW has a history of clever advertising, this trailer design for one of their cars is so pleasing to look at.  From the colours of the tyre marks to the position of the images, it looks clean and effective. Which is why it makes it into our top 3

Technically this isn’t a curtainsider and technically it’s not allowed on the UK roads. But it’s simply not Christmas without the Coca-Cola lorry, which is why it has to make it onto this list. Lorry designs can’t get much more iconic.

Number 1 is a true classic, proving that sometimes less is more.  The Kellogg’s cornflake adverts have gone down in history as some of the very best and the same design language was transferred onto their lorry fleet in the late 1980’s.  We also love the simplicity of the modern version of the design below.
