We have recently been busy installing a run of players tunnels for; Sheppey United, Accrington Stanley, Tranmere Rovers FC & Chelmsford City FC. Each club had its own requirements for their tunnels, ranging from a 11m black tunnel to span between a changing facility and the stadium at Chelmsford City FC and a red 4m tunnel directly going onto the pitch at Accrington Stanley.

All the new players tunnels feature Kadar individual PVC panels, 1.1m wide which are produced to the exact width of each pentagraph centre of the tunnel frame. Each panel is sewn with the keder on both sides and high-frequency welded to create a waterproof structure. Each tunnel runs on custom floor tracking to create a smooth and easy-to-use retracting mechanism. The primary function of the tunnel is to provide protection from any potential falling objects when players are walking onto the pitch. It also offers a premium extension to the facilities and helps build an atmosphere at the beginning of each game.

Velcro sections that allow sponsorship logos to be placed along the tunnel are also added when required. The tunnel Kadar system allows for panels to be individually removed if replacements are needed over time, which prolongs the tunnels’ lifespan.
