What Are Aggregate Bay Covers?
Aggregate Bay Covers are robust, retractable roofing systems installed above aggregate storage bays. They are designed to...
At Stuart Canvas we are always looking for the latest innovations, we have been producing retractable tunnels for nearly 40 years and have created a number of different designs with multiple functions. Due to this diversity, we have chosen to adopt the Keder rail system as an option for our retractable tunnels and temporally buildings.
This system allows for larger tunnels to be produced more efficiently and economically. The system consists of individual PVC panels, typically 1.1m wide which are produced to the same width of each pentagraph centre of the tunnel frame. Each panel is sewn with the keder on both sides and high frequency welded to create a waterproof structure.
Once the tunnel is completely extended the Keder panels are stretched from both sides which causes a transverse stretch of the panels, creating a tight and smooth finish.
This method of manufacturing and design has proven to reduce installation times on site and reduce the need for working at height for extended periods, therefore minimising the risks during installation. By adopting this method we have been able to supply and fit our tunnels in areas which have limited access for plant machinery.
Whether large or small, fixed or retractable, Stuart Canvas can offer a solution to your storage needs and advise on how to create the best additional workspace both internally or externally. Our Tunnels can be produced as mobile or static workshops and can be designed to be easily dismantled and assembled should they need to be relocated in the future.
