Protecting Wimbledon’s world-famous grass playing surfaces
Wimbledon’s grass courts require careful protection throughout the weeks leading up to the tournament and during the Championships themselves.
Our bespoke court covers are installed before the event begins, helping the Wimbledon Grounds Team protect the playing surfaces from rain and changing weather conditions.
When poor weather threatens play, the covers must be ready to deploy quickly and correctly. Their performance is critical to protecting the courts and allowing play to resume as soon as conditions improve.
Experienced support before, during and after the Championships
Our work does not end once the covers and surrounds have been installed.
A dedicated Stuart Canvas team travels to London in the weeks leading up to the Championships and remains available throughout the tournament. Working closely with the Wimbledon team, our specialists help ensure the covers are correctly prepared, managed and maintained.
Regular inspections identify signs of wear or damage, allowing repairs and adjustments to be completed quickly whenever required. This support is particularly important during periods of unpredictable weather, when the equipment must perform reliably and the response needs to be immediate.
