Stuart Canvas was recently tasked with delivering a weatherproof cover solution for a gas-fuelled power station located in the Southeast. The project formed part of a planned shutdown and refurbishment, where protecting vital equipment and machinery from the elements was a key requirement.

The client needed a flexible industrial canopy capable of providing both full and partial coverage across a surface area exceeding 20 metres by 8 metres. A crucial aspect of the brief was that the cover could be easily extended or retracted daily, to align with site operations throughout the shutdown period.

To meet this demand, Stuart Canvas designed and installed a custom retractable tunnel system that could operate in both directions. This temporary cover solution offered the ideal balance of versatility, durability, and ease of use – delivering reliable weather protection and operational flexibility.
