Protecting a specialist rail carriage from the elements
Stuart Canvas was approached by VTG Rail with a requirement for a bespoke protective cover designed to safeguard a train carriage when not in use.
With the carriage exposed to changing weather conditions while stationary, VTG Rail required a durable, made-to-measure solution that would provide reliable protection during periods of storage.

A completely bespoke approach
The project required a completely bespoke solution, with the cover manufactured specifically around the dimensions and details of the rail carriage.
Rather than adapting a standard cover, the Stuart Canvas design team worked from drawings and dimensional information supplied by the customer to develop a solution around the carriage itself.
Every element of the cover was manufactured to the required dimensions to ensure a practical and effective fit around the carriage.
The Solution
From customer drawings to a fully manufactured cover
Working from drawings and dimensional information supplied by the customer, the Stuart Canvas design team developed the cover to suit the specific requirements of the carriage.
Using the customer’s information as a starting point, our team produced detailed design drawings before creating the necessary digital cut files for manufacture.
This allowed the complete cover to be developed accurately around the dimensions and details of the specialist rail carriage.
