Championing Youth Empowerment with Shropshire Youth Trust

At Stuart Canvas Group, we believe in more than just delivering high quality products; we are dedicated to positively impacting the community. Our recent sponsorship of the Shropshire Youth Trust (SYST) Breakfast Club is a testament to this commitment. Starting in June 2024, this initiative aims to support young people in Telford and Wrekin aged 16-24 who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET). By providing a free breakfast in a safe and welcoming environment.

Shropshire Youth Trust: Empowering the Future

Shropshire Youth Trust is a remarkable charity that focuses on helping young people transition into successful and sustainable futures. They offer three dynamic programs designed to support different aspects of youth development:

Re-Engage with SYST:

This Telford & Wrekin-specific initiative offers activities aimed at re-engaging NEET youth. The program’s goal is to equip participants with the skills and confidence needed to create a sustainable future for themselves.

Breakthru Programme:

Targeted at individuals aged 16-30 across Shropshire, the Breakthru Programme is tailored for those who are NEET, on zero-hours contracts, or in part-time employment and receiving benefits. This comprehensive program provides crucial support and guidance to help young people find stable and meaningful employment.

ASYSTED Business Programme:

This core program is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs aged 16-30. It offers fundamental business skills training, helping young people transform their ideas into viable businesses. The program also includes well-being workshops to promote mindfulness and emotional resilience.

The Breakfast Club: Nourishing Bodies and Minds

Running three mornings a week, the club offers more than just a nutritious start to the day. It provides a safe space for young people to gather, connect, and receive guidance.

Our collaboration with Shropshire Youth Trust is about more than sponsorship. Ed Stoddart, our Chief Executive at Stuart Canvas Group, also serves as a trustee of the Shropshire Youth Trust.
