Accountable To:   Head of Cricket 

Location: Warrington (with extensive travel around the UK)

Stuart Canvas Cricket is the leading manufacturer of cricket ground equipment in the UK and we pride ourselves on offering exceptionally high standards of sales and after-sales service, across all the products that we manufacture and distribute. The Cricket Division is looking to recruit a Cricket Sales Executive, needed to support the sales team in promoting and selling cricket ground equipment to all our end-user customers. These include County Grounds, cricket clubs, schools, local authorities, contractors, groundsman and other landscape and amenity companies across the UK.

Job Summary:

This position is office based but will require extensive travel around the UK when necessary.

Reporting to the Head of Cricket, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in selling and negotiating with end-user businesses and customers. Candidates will need to be highly motivated, energetic team players with a proactive approach, possess good spoken and written communication skills and able to build strong working relationships at all levels.

  • Knowledge of cricket, as well as having sales experience in cricket ground equipment or non-turf practise facilities would be an advantage.
  • Good time management and reporting skills – using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint – are essential.
  • This position is supported by a competitive basic salary and commission, including a company vehicle.
  • As UK travel is required, the candidate needs to possess a full clean UK driver’s licence.

Haulage Covers Sales Rep

Job Title:   Haulage Covers Sales Rep – Stuart Canvas / Bennett Covers

Location: St Helens & Warrington

The Role

A Haulage Cover Sales Representative is required to manage existing accounts and develop new business within the independent retail channel across the North of England & Midlands

You will develop customer relationships with new and existing customers, typically large haulage companies, there will be a customer base to develop and exploit

The role would benefit a self-motivated individual seeking their first role in field sales, as a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programme is provided. Applications are encouraged from those working in haulage sales or working with the haulage industry.

This is a field based role and therefore should live in the Northwest of England.

Key Objective

Achieve territory revenue growth through effective sales and marketing initiatives. Increase range penetration within the existing account portfolio, and secure new product listings within new accounts.

Duties

  • Manage and develop an existing account portfolio through a long-term relationship
  • Effective account planning, diary and journey management
  • Proactively identify prospect customers and secure new business
  • Maximise product sell-in to increase listings
  • Develop company presence through attending trade shows and marketing events
  • Promote new seasonal ranges
  • Achieve high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity
  • Price negotiations.
  • Achieve agreed KPI’s and sales targets
  • Work to a consistently high standard

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Self-starter, able to work on own initiative
  • Have worked in the Haulage industry in a sales capacity and have an understanding of the industry and trucks in general
  • Proven relationship builder
  • Confident in your ability to win new business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Results oriented to achieve sales and activity target
  • Able to create productive internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge of IT software packages, including Word and Excel.
  • Must have a clean driving license

Industrial Machinist

Job Summary:
To sew various types of Cloth mainly, PVC, Canvas & Netting using an Industrial sewing machine. Ideally be familiar with single and double stitch machines.  An exciting permanent position has arisen for an Industrial Sewing Machinist to join a growing and highly successful established company and become part of our busy production team.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year Industrial Sewing experience within the last 5 years
  • Knowledge of industrial cloths preferred such as Canvass & PVC or have a background in leather or heavy cloth.
  • Able to work off simple drawings
  • Able to work on their own initiative
  • Able to work alone or part of a team
  • Good communication skills
